Leslie Conroy was born in Liverpool, UK in 1936. He was educated in Wimbourne and Liverpool. His paintings are romantic and impressionistic, influenced by masters such as Turner and Monet, and like there breathtaking landscapes, his succeeds in capturing light, space and atmosphere with great effect.
Many of Conroy's paintings form parts of private collections in Liverpool, Spain, The Netherlands, London, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the U.S.A.
An artist whose reputation continues to gain significance in Britain, Leslie Conroy is regularly invited to exhibit his work in countries such as Greece, USA, Brazil, Spain and Denmark. His portraits hang in the Republic of Yemen and Canada.
He is currently teaching fine art as part of Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council's Arts Development Unit.
